Why I Return traces a fourteen-year departure from the art world — and the path back. Three collapses in 2011 (Fukushima, the Greek crisis, a betrayal in Taiwan) led to silence. Thirteen years of organic oil import and forty years of martial arts revealed something essential: the repeated gesture doesn’t repeat mindlessly. It refines, becomes sensitivity. But without practice, this muscle atrophies.
